An Alternative To A Care Home

Live-in care is a unique service that enables an individual to have access to the care that they need 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is best suited to those individuals who require a higher level of care, but are looking for an alternative to a residential care home placement. It’s worth noting that not everyone with higher care needs will require a live-in carer and sometimes, a home carer can provide the required level of care with regular visits to the home.

It is not uncommon for those that are struggling to try to hide the fact they are not coping at home and often, it is a family member or friend who picks up on the signs that all is not well with their loved one. Admitting that you cannot meet your own care needs can trigger many negative feelings, including embarrassment and shame, and can also have a big impact on your pride and self-esteem

Arrange A Care Assessment

Whilst some individuals may be open to moving into a care home setting, the thought of leaving the home could be extremely anxiety provoking for others. Such a move could leave the individual feeling that they are being stripped of their personal independence and this is where live-in care comes in as a much-preferred alternative solution.

If you are noticing signs that someone you care deeply about is struggling to cope with life at home, then we would encourage you to arrange a care assessment with one of our friendly team. We would never recommend making any life-changing decisions without discussing the options and listening to the wishes of the person concerned.
